This work represents our connection to Country. The very first footprints on this country were those belonging to First Nation peoples. Our relationship with Country is sacred, and is interconnected with our culture, family and kinship, traditions, song lines, languages, and physical, spiritual and emotional wellbeing. The lines and detailed patterns across the artwork symbolise song lines, Sand hills and Country. The women natural colours symbolise the ground, the ochre of land.
