“Home”

The artists inspiration for this piece, was the red earth of her birthplace Charleville, located along the banks of the Warrego River in Western Queensland. The art piece depicts the red sands of the lands of Charleville, the lines represent the movement of the wildlife that live there, and the dots represents raindrops that creates patterns on the sand when it first begins to rain, after a long dry Summer.

About the Artist
Natasha is a proud Kamilaroi Kooma woman, originally from Charleville, but has lived and worked with mob on Wadawurrung Country in Geelong for the last 10 years. Natasha enjoys weaving and art and does this for relaxation, mindfulness, wellbeing and to connect to culture. Natasha is a contemporary artist and is inspired by the land, waterways, and sky, from the land on which she lives now and the lands she has journeyed across though out her life. Each piece that Natasha creates is made with love as she is sharing a small part of her journey with you.
