“Rainbow Dreaming”

Rainbow Dreaming is the artists contemporary interpretation of the rainbow serpent dreaming and tells the story of how the rainbow serpent travelled across the land and created all of the meeting places which we would use to gather, together to hold sacred ceremonies, celebrations and trade, hold and have discussion among tribal elders and resolve disputes. A part of our cultural that we still hold close, and practice today, in many different ways.

About the Artist
Natasha is a proud Kamilaroi Kooma woman, originally from Charleville, but has lived and worked with mob on Wadawurrung Country in Geelong for the last 10 years. Natasha enjoys weaving and art and does this for relaxation, mindfulness, wellbeing and to connect to culture. Natasha is a contemporary artist and is inspired by the land, waterways, and sky, from the land on which she lives now and the lands she has journeyed across though out her life. Each piece that Natasha creates is made with love as she is sharing a small part of her journey with you.
